Design considerations and best practices
In this webinar, the speakers described existing retrofitting techniques for reinforced concrete structures, and gave special attention to the use concrete overlay for strengthening purposes. Gonzalo and Samuel also provided an overview of when a structure needs to be strengthened, the assessment methodologies commonly used in New Zealand, and how to achieve a monolithic connection between the new and existing concrete layers by following the recommendations in EOTA TR066
