Hi Hilti, I am trying to find what the requirements are around proof testing of the HIT-RE 500 Injection Mortar? what the required load to use for proof testing is? Where can I find this?

Hi Andrew,

In New Zealand, there is no specific testing standard for proof load (non-destructive) testing, so we typically refer to the British standard. BS 8539:2012, Clause 9.3 and Annex B.3, provide guidance on this. Alternatively, you may consider testing 5% of the installed anchors, which aligns with local best practices.

Please note that as a manufacturer, we cannot prescribe the number of anchors to be tested, the load intensity, or the duration of the test. These parameters are entirely the responsibility of the engineer on record.
