Access to Profis Engineering Premium Suite

Hello! I've received an email from Hilti confirming my access to Profis Engineering Premium Suite, but I cannot figure out how to get to Profis Premium. Links in the email and all login options takes me to the free version with an offer to upgrade.

Also; is Profis Engineering Premium available as an application or just via the rubbish web-based platform?

Dear Gideon,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns.

Firstly, regarding your access to Profis Engineering Premium Suite, we apologize for any confusion. One of our team members will get back to you shortly to guide you through the login process. Please note that Profis Engineering Premium is accessed through the same application as the free version. We'll ensure you have the correct instructions to access your premium features.

Regarding your second question, Profis Engineering Premium is indeed a web-based application, and this design choice is intentional. This ensures you are always working with the most up-to-date information and documents, which is crucial given the constantly changing approvals and test data. While a desktop version might offer offline access, it cannot ensure the same level of current information without a constant internet connection. Additionally, complex CBFEM calculations run smoothly and quickly on web-based applications due to the greater bandwidth and processing power of our servers compared to desktop versions, which might struggle or take much longer to handle these calculations.

We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist you further if needed.

It might be worth noting that the current version of the user manual (as available within Profis Engineering - https://profis3-public-docs.hilti.com/P3BP/MAN/Hilti_PROFIS_Engineering_Manual_EN.pdf) indicates on page 7 that 'PROFIS Engineering Suite is available in online and offline versions.'

Thanks Suman for responding. It seems that my subscription has been linked. A quick view tells me that it is working. Regarding the web app; I understand Hilti's reasoning, but there are many software packages out there that are able to keep themselves up to date and also do heavy computations (provided that the user has a suitably strong computer). Herewith my vote/request (and please push this up the internal Hilti chain) for a desktop application in parallel to the web version for users that prefer using it as such. It can have suitable limitations (i.e. requirement to check for update before publishing reports, etc.) to ensure up-to-date results/specifications.

Hi Gideon, thank you for confirming that your subscription is now linked and operational. I'm glad to hear that everything is working smoothly.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the preference for a desktop application in parallel to the web version. We will discuss this internally and take the necessary action.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other suggestions or need further assistance.

Best regards,
Suman
