There have been two great leaps forward in the history of structural analysis tools. The first came back in the 1970s, when the advent of commercial radar (GPR) scanners made non-destructive concrete analysis a realistic option for most jobsites. The second is happening now: a new generation of intelligent detection tools, designed to simplify analysis jobs and help prevent errors both on-site and back in the office.
The PS 300 Ferroscan is at the forefront of this new wave of smart, connected detection devices. An integrated 5" touchscreen gives you a detailed, live view of hidden rebar, helping you to complete a structural survey or analysis in one site visit. Afterwards, data can be transferred to PROFIS Detection software for further analysis or sharing in various formats. Survey or analysis reports can then be generated with one click.
Watch the video below to see how the PS 300 Ferroscan helped to locate reinforcement in a record-breaking concrete bridge in the Swiss Alps. This ambitious engineering project has resolved large spans, seismic requirements, temperature extremes and dynamic loads – so it is imperative that the structure was built as specified. With an especially large scanning surface and the power to locate rebar up to 200 mm deep, the PS 300 offers a high-productivity solution for scanning concrete in major buildings and civil engineering works.
In this remote location, extra site visits would be especially costly. Live scan results on-screen helped to ensure data integrity and completeness before returning to the office for deeper analysis.
