NEW INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE JOBS OF THE FUTURE

Schaan (FL), August 29, 2017 – The Hilti Group invests some CHF 100 million in the modernization of its headquarters – a clear commitment to the long-term development of its Liechtenstein site. Over the next five years, the company will construct two new office buildings, a multi-storey car park and a spacious landscaped campus. This initiative will clearly enhance the status of the Group’s headquarters in Schaan.

The construction of the Innovation Center (2014) and the renovation of the main administration building (2015) marked the beginning of the modernization drive of Hilti headquarters in Schaan, Liechtenstein. This major infrastructure project is scheduled to be completed by 2022. The construction of the multi-storey car park for 900 vehicles in the Northern sector of the compound has already begun. Once completed by the end of 2017, it will compensate for the parking spaces lost due to the construction of the new “Northern Office Building” expected to start in the autumn of 2018. The dismantling of the high-bay warehouse and vacant workshops next to the main administration building is clearing the way for the new “Central Office Building” which will house some 250 workplaces, with construction due to start in early 2018. The overall project will also include green areas for relaxation in a modern campus setting.

The infrastructure investment project is testimony of Hilti’s commitment to the Liechtenstein site both in the present and the future. „Our employees spend a significant part of their lives on our premises where they work hard and show strong commitment for the company’s success. Hence, it is only natural that we wish to offer them a future-oriented and attractive working environment,“ says Jörg Kampmeyer, CFO of the Hilti Group. “We are convinced that our team members will be even more motivated if they can enjoy their workplaces in an efficient environment that creates space for ideas and allows for a creative break in pleasant surroundings once in a while.”

The investments planned by Hilti over the next few years are also destined to create an architectural space worthy of the headquarters of a global group that will attract even more talent from the region and all over the world. Jörg Kampmeyer goes on to say: „The spatial concept for both new office buildings was developed in line with state-of-the-art expertise and will meet the requirements of the digital workplace of the future. This will provide us with yet another competitive advantage and will make our Liechtenstein site and its international team even more effective and once again: Ready for the Future.”
