Blocking bottom of through hole for chemical anchors

Can I use expanding foam to fill small void to prevent the chemical from falling through the hole. The slab is 100mm thick and was drilling 90mm deep for an m20 stud...
Some holes have drilled through the slab.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your question regarding blocking the bottom of a through hole for chemical anchors.

This is a unique scenario, and one of our field engineers will reach out to you to discuss this further in detail. Generally speaking, it is crucial to respect the minimum concrete cover specified for the application. If this cover is not adhered to, the anchor may not achieve the capacity it was designed for.

For your specific case of using expanding foam to fill small voids and prevent the chemical from falling through, we must consider that our chemical anchors have not been tested under these conditions. Consequently, we do not have any validated data to support this approach. The design engineer for your project should make a decision based on the project's requirements and safety considerations.

We will connect with you shortly to gather more information and provide the best possible support for your situation.

Best regards,
Suman
