Where there is one application, Hilti offers you 3 different solutions.
We offer powder-actuated, gas-actuated and battery operated tools and systems for attaching drywall track to concrete or steel. Whether you want to be speedy with the job or you need to fasten into a heavy duty base material, we have the answer.
Powder-actuated fastening systems typically pack a bit more of a punch than most gas-actuated fastening systems.
This means that using a powder actuated Hilti tool gives you higher application limits with various base materials.
Mostly, Powder actuated fasteners can be used for drywall track of attaching 2x4 wood members to concrete slabs, concrete over metal deck, CMU block, or steel.
Gas-actuated fastening systems are focused on high volume repetitive fastening, it is a much speedier way of getting the job done.
It all depends on the type of application however, Gas-actuated fastening is preferred to be used when drywall track is being fastened to standard strength concrete or steel.
Fasteners are available for attachment of track to concrete slabs, concrete over metal deck, CMU block, or steel.
Our third solution for drywall application is with the BX 3 Battery powdered direct fastening tool.
Speed and power combined, the BX 3 can offer you application solutions for drywall track to both steel and to concrete.
Fastening drywall track to steel is easily achieved with the BX 3.
Using the BX 3 for fastening drywall track to concrete is also an easy process for all. Using high performance nails such as the X-P Nails, the finished job isn't too far in sight.
We also offer the X-C B3 MX standard perfomance nails for concrete if that is all you need to complete the job.
